TRUTH & Rumors

  • ShhUS Squash, through their US Open site, took a swipe at Nick Matthew and he didn't like it. Read Nick's Tweet here.
  • US Squash also took a surprising swipe at the World Squash Federation, which they called "underperforming" in this month's Squash Magazine.

  • World #10 Amanda Sobhy, who was prominently featured on the billboards promoting the US Open was unable to compete in this year's tournament.
    • Sobhy is coached at Harvard by Mike Way, who many would argue isn't just college squash's best coach but the world's best.
    • And Sobhy is now working with reigning PST Champion Thierry Lincou for her personal coaching.
    • Wow, what an impressive coaching team.
  • World Squash Day organizers tripped us up with this year's event.

    • Tony know something everyone else doesn't?
  • Congrats to Bryant University coach John Wilson, who has recently been announced as the new Director of Squash at Newport Squash Club in Rhode Island.
  • A WSA player tweeting here that she needed an injury timeout to attend to her boobs raised the blood pressure of the boys @SquashMad and @SquashRumours.
    • See the player's original tweet here.

    • He evidently doesn't like  that a player can hit his opponent with the ball and win the point. See it here.
