Please Accept My Apology

In the last issue of the Squash Ezine, we unintentionally used the word "on" instead of the word "to" in one of our article descriptions.

Normally, this would be a minor error. However, in this case, the mistake transformed a sentence from an accurate description of a video into one which included inappropriate innuendo.

I called the parties referenced in the article and apologized to them. And now I offer my apology to any reader who noticed the error.

Sincerely,
Joseph M. McManus
Publisher

Do You See It?

But there's a defect.

Help This Kid

This is where the system (NUSEA) lets you down.

You're smart.

You're a good kid.

You're poor.

You get selected to Squashbusters.

You get into a NESCAC college to play squash.

Your college is doing a training trip.

You want to go.

They aren't paying.

This will be your senior year.

In your junior year you went 15-8.

You want to go.

You swallow your pride and go to the internet.

You put your name and your face out there and ask for help.

No one answers.

NUSEA isn't helping you now, 'cause you're no longer their press release.

Bates Gets Four Wall Glass Show Court

Bates College coach Pat Cosquer understands marketing and promotion better than any other coach in college squash. He's the master.

The new glass court show-court he arranged will certainly be a game changer for the top level college squash program.

John Illig: A Squash Life Celebrated

Middlebury Squash Coach John Illig died unexpectedly this past summer. He was the President of the Men's College Squash Association and former Bates and Colby coach.

Middlebury College hosted a memorial. Middlebury alums welcomed squash friends from across the community to honor a life well lived.

Active Luton Says Try Squash

Active Luton is inviting community members to come to their courts and try squash at no charge.

Good on 'em. Our sport needs more clubs who are actively trying to grow the game.

Luton is a town located 30 miles north of London, England.

Treadmills (4 of 5)

More and more videos are showing us that we had it wrong on treadmills. Here, Gomaa Zizo is fearless with some of the exercises he does working the upper and lower body.

    • First, why are the intercollegiate championships happening before the season begins.
    • Second, how is CSA sanctioning a tournament before it is allowed to sanction a tournament?
    • Third, what penalties are waiting for any player/school who participates?
