TRUTH & Rumors

  • ShhThis is Squash Ezine's 200th edition (by our count).
    • It started as an email thread to Joe McManus' friends (0), mom (1), brother (1) and people he spammed (287).
    • Then we added this thing called Truth & Rumors and readership exploded.
    • Now more than 10,000 squashers across the world read this content.
    • #Yikes
  • We hear top recruiter and elite college coach Martin Heath has attracted Italian National Team Member Michelangelo Bertocchi to play for the University of Rochester.
  • We also hear congrats are in order for Yale alum and multiple time US Champ Julian Illingworth who is now working as a sales rep for Boast clothing.
    • Julian never struck us as the salesman type. But good luck to him. @IllingWorthless
  • And congratulations to Harvard University #1 Amanda Sobhy. The rising senior is now WSA #10, which makes her the first American to ever crack the world top #10.
  • Speaking of Amanda,  she has three collegiate individual national championships to her credit. If she wins again this year, she will equal the mark set by legendary Princeton coach Gail Ramsay, who won four individual titles while a student at Penn State.
  • George Washington University squash coach Wendy Lawrence isn't just a College Squash power broker. Her connections in American politics are as good as they get. Seriously, she is VERY connected.
  • Which is faster?
    • Taking Ambien
    • Taking Lunesta
    • Reading The Digital Drive
  • Congratulations to the gang at Portland Community Squash. We hear they've reached their goal of $50,000 in their Coastal Challenge.
    • Rumor has it the good folks at Massachusetts Squash plunked down a HUGE donation of their own. Afterall, Maine is just a giant suburb of Mass.
