  • ShhIf you ever have the privilege of meeting SquashSite's Co-Publisher Steve Cubbins, you will immediately learn what a wonderful man he is. The rest of you will simply have to trust us. 
  • Welcome Denison University to the world of active recruiting. We hear Big Red have two talented recruits, one Indian and one Egyptian, who will be strengthening the top of their ladder. 
  • Speaking of college squash. Rumor has it head coaches from across the CSA will be meeting at a summer retreat this week. And the playing resumes for some of the head coaches coaches are more than impressive:
    • Mark Talbott (Stanford) - won over 250 pro tournaments and widely regarded as the greatest American squash player ever
    • Thierry Lincou (MIT) - former PSA and French Champ and current PST Champ
    • Martin Heath (U Rochester) - former PSA #4 and Scottish Champ
    • John White (Drexel) - former PSA #1
    • Hansi Wiens (Dartmouth) - longtime German Champ and former PSA Top 10 player
    • Bryan Patterson (Fordham) - former PSA Top 20 player
    • Gavin Jones (F&M ) - two time Wales National Champ
    • Gail Ramsay (Princeton) - four time CSA Champion
    • Dave Talbott (Yale) - former WPSA #12 player
  • Former Connecticut College player and PST loyalist Mike Semprucci decided to win some club championships this year.The still fit Semprucci won Boston's T & R Club Championship one day after winning the metro-Boston Cross Courts Club Championship.
  • In response to our note last week about the Brunswick School boys, one high school coach sent us a nice note this week saying they are more honorable than we gave them credit for.
