Nick Matthew's Book: Sweating Blood

Three-time World Champion Nick Matthew's new book, Sweating Blood, is well-written and a quick read.

Not surprisingly, Nick spends time praising his mum's Yorkshire Pudding and sharing his devotion to his lovely bride.

Squashers will thoroughly enjoy Nick's stories about travel and rivalries.

And he sprinkles in enough salacious gossip to make some of you blush and hopefully more of you buy his book.

For example, after reading the book, you'll know the following:

- How much he made in prize money and sponsorships in his best year.

- Why did 30 year old PSA #1 Peter Nicol touch 23 year old Adrian Grant's testicles after they won the World Team Championship?

- What was Nick doing in a taxi with 8 Malaysian prostitutes?

- When was the pivotal moment Nick ruined his fragile relationship with James Willstrop? And what did he say?

Squash's Popularity Growing Fast in Maine

Former Bowdoin College standout player Barrett Takesian was on the front page of the Portland Press Herald with a bunch of smiling young kids and their squash racquets.

Barrett is one of the leaders in Maine who are successfully growing the game at the grass roots level.
