    • It feels awesome to win my first PSA tournament in NYC!!! Big thanks to my coach Scott Devoy and Fabio Cechin, the Down the Line and Beyond Foundation and Mitch Greene, my sports psychologist. And to Kelly Shannon, Katie Giovinazzo, and David Letourneau, thanks so much for coming out to support/coach and cheer for me!!!...and for taking me out to celebrate when it was over!!!

  • Speaking of Todd, people who play against the top American men tell us, Todd is the odds on favorite to be the next U.S. Champion.
  • A recent  PSA match had players and fans complaining on social media.
    • According to SquashMad.com, the 71 minute Canary Wharf match had 70 lets over 79 points (11-6, 5-11, 14-12, 11-9).
    • Fans were wondering how the referee in charge, John Masarella, who is one of the world's most well regarded squash officials, let it get so out of hand.
  • Squash fan forum pages recently have been tough on the establishment.
    • Here the fans banged on WSA for poor streaming quality of their World Open, err World Championship.
    • Here fans used the comment box to jump on David Pearson, for "Do as I say, not as I do" commentary in his recent SquashMad column.
    • But we think both were unfair. Good on WSA for rebounding and having their capstone event, even in a tough year.

  • We hear racquetball players in Northern Vancouver are unhappy with the North Vancouver Recreation Commission for deciding to close down local racquetball courts in favor of adding permanent squash courts at the Delbrook Rec Center.
  • Word is Nour El Sherbini was hard done by two referee decisions late in game five of the WSA World Championship finals. She lost game five 11-9. But Sherbini is a class act and simply shook her opponent's hand in congratulations.
