SquashMad contacted PSA, without success, for a comment. To see SquashMad's article, please click here.

SquashSite Publisher Leads Words Against SDA
|
SquashSite's Publisher Steve Cubbins will delete negative posts on the PSA or WSA. However, it appears he doesn't mind slagging off the other tours.
This week, during the Briggs Cup (SDA's largest event), Mr. Cubbins started a discussion on his website, where he called the game: "Four guys mainly lined up on the service line, smashing away at the ball with little or no attempt to put it tight ... and a rally ends with a random winner/mistake/stroke."
His fans joined in calling it "awful" and "unpleasing to the eye" and suggesting they use a soft ball to make it more exciting.

TRUTH & Rumors
|
The US Junior Open faced a snowstorm this week. But US Squash staffers did a brilliant job rescheduling matches and getting the tournament back on track, as Richard Millman noted here. - The BlackKnight US Junior Open is a who's who of leaders in squash. The world's best juniors and their elite coaches being scouted by the best colleges. What an event.
- France's Squash Arbitrage had fans slamming PSA's CEO Alex Gough here on Facebook.
- Evidently, Mr. Gough's recent bad behavior gave fans a chance to remember his behavior in other PSA tour stops.
- Before Squash Ezine's Truth & Rumors, there was Martin Bronstein's Global Gallery for Squash Talk.
- He did a better job than we've ever done. Check his archives out here.
- When last year's high school nationals were cancelled, Belmont Hill School was primed to win the National Championship. This won't be their year, but next year they will be back at the top of the heap looking for a nat'l title.
- Those cunning linguists across The Pond at SquashMad do bring a smile to our faces. "Stars and Gripes" (here) was how they referenced Squash Ezine last week.
- We have no gripe with SquashMad.com, which has so much interesting content, checking it out once a day isn't enough any more.
- Chris Walker did quite a nice job commentating for the SDA's Briggs Cup. He knows the game and the players backwards and forwards.
- In 2002, the National Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association (NISRA) and the Women's Intercollegiate Squash Association joined to form the current College Squash Association.
- But Men's and Women's college squash still operate independent of one another to this day.
