Service in Action
Recognizing service and volunteerism throughout Maryland

Happy National Volunteer Week!

Each year, over 1 million Marylanders volunteer in their community. Whether by collecting and distributing food, assisting individuals in searching for jobs, or tutoring our youth - Marylanders have stepped up to lend a helping hand to create a brighter future for all. In recognition and appreciation for those who serve, Governor Larry Hogan has issued a proclamation announcing April 12-18 as National Volunteer Week.

Join us in honoring the people who take action and solve problems in their community. Our office supports volunteer recognition efforts by offering a number of volunteer recognition tools. From state-wide events, like the Governor's Service Awards and the Honor Rows program, to volunteer certificates awarded to individual citizens, there are many ways to recognize the extraordinary service of volunteers. Learn more about our tools by visiting our Recognition and Annual Events pages!
