eNews for pastoral leaders within the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec             JULY 2013

Greetings!

ReIgnite, our annual conference for pastoral leaders and their spouses, is coming back to Alliston, Ontario, this November 11-13. Gordon and Gail MacDonald, authors and well-known ministry leaders, will be our speakers this year. They will help us explore the theme, "Resilience in Ministry: The Long-term Life of Women and Men in Ministry." What are the practices and attitudes that enable us to stay the course? What do we need to build in our lives to last?

 ReIgnite 2013

This year's conference is jointly sponsored with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM), and CBM's General Secretary, Sam Chaise will be our worship leader for the event.

The Super Early Bird deadline is August 19. REGISTER TODAY

Solitude image WHAT STEPS ARE YOU TAKING TO FIND SOLITUDE AND SILENCE?

At Assembly 2013, Ruth Haley Barton encouraged us to find places and patterns of solitude and silence, in order that we express our best leadership souls.

How is it with your soul? Over the next months, especially during the new pace of summer, how will you build soul strength? Share your stories with us about your movement toward a more "soulful" ministry.

One suggestion, for those of you who participate with a pastoral cluster group through your association or through a local ministerial, would be to work together through one of Ruth's books, like Invitation to Solitude and Silence, and help each other be accountable for the development of your souls.
