Greetings!

We're excited to announce that Gordon and Gail MacDonald, authors and well-known ministry leaders, will be our speakers for ReIgnite 2013, November 11-13 at Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, Ontario. Their topic will be "Resilience in Ministry."

TRENDS IN CBOQ MINISTRY

Trends in CBOQ Ministry Over the last three years many of our CBOQ ministry leaders have faithfully participated in filling out an annual survey. The results have been useful in helping us better understand ministry situations across CBOQ and to form a strategic plan around areas of strength and growth. Read highlights from the survey

In the coming weeks, many of you will be receiving an email with a link to this year's survey. It may seem repetitive, but we purposefully ask the same questions, allowing us, over time, to recognize trends that will help us in our development of programs and initiatives. Thank you in advance for taking the time to once again complete the survey.

Crest Leadership

MID-CAREER LEADERS

Research shows that your best contribution in life will likely come after the age of 40. But less than one third ever find that significant contribution - most will flatline or be frustrated in the second half of life.

The CREST Leadership Center is committed to helping mid-life adults find clarity for the second half of life. Through their Certificate Program, CREST offers you the opportunity to be guided in a deep and ordered reflection that brings clarity to your life and leadership. In 18 days over two years, CREST has discovered a very effective way for adult learners to make deep life changes.

A new CREST cohort is starting in London, ON, June 25-28, 2013. Held at the Ivy Spencer Leadership Centre, CREST invites you to a place of top professional development for the mind and spirit, and rest for the body. Applications are being accepted now for the London cohort. LEARN MORE

Send us your recommendations of the best book or online resource you've come across recently. Here are some of the responses we've received to date. We'll continue pass these along in future issues:

Craig Rumble (Markham Baptist Church)

"One of the books I've been reading lately is Peter Scazzero's Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. The author's premise is that we cannot be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. The combination of emotional health and contemplative spirituality 'unleashes the Holy Spirit inside us so that we might experientially know the power of an authentic life in Christ.' Scazzero has written a second book, Emotionally Healthy Church, as well as a study guide and DVD series Emotionally Healthy Skills 2.0 - designed to teach new skills that enable participants to put Scripture into practice."
