Are you ready for Spring yet?
I've been busy with client work, and setting new goals for 2014. Have you mapped out your marketing plans for the year? If not, give us a call and we'll work together to develop custom plans for your business.
In addition to helping businesses meet their goals, I present lectures and workshops for organizations and associations. Contact us to find out how a presentation can be crafted for your team.
At Richard Associates, we work with businesses to analyze marketing efforts, create strategic solutions, and improve the customer experience. Our goal is to make your business as successful as it can be.
We are currently booking March and April one-on-one strategic session appointments. Contact us today to reserve your spot!
Don't like cold calling? Try hosting an event instead. Read more about it in "Jumpstart Your Business" below. There's also a list of local networking events, a networking tip, and links to articles I think you will find interesting.
Best regards,
Susan Richard

 Host an Event
To build your business, try hosting an event for your clients, colleagues and friends. It's more enjoyable than cold calling, and you're focusing on developing your relationships rather than selling.
Plan
Who can you invite to your event? Where should it be held? Take time to plan out the logistics. Maybe include a presenter that your guests would be interested in hearing. Figure out what the purpose or goal of the event is and develop plans from there.
Invite
Be sure to send out invitations with enough lead time to allow guests to fit it in their calendars. You can send the invites via mail, e-mail or create a Facebook event. Think of clients and colleagues who may benefit from knowing each other, or people you would like to get to know better.
Connect
As the host, you are the connector at your event. Be a catalyst for your guests by introducing them to specific people who would be helpful to them. In this way, you'll develop a reputation as someone who knows a lot of different people and is willing to share those connections in an effort to support other businesses.
|
Introduce Others
A great way to be helpful at networking events or conferences is to introduce new acquaintances to people you know.
Act like a host. If you are talking to a new connection and you see someone you know in the crowd, take the time to make introductions. It looks like you are well-connected and it may result in a fruitful relationship for the new acquaintances.
Who do you know?
