Jumpstart Your Business

Why Hire a Marketing Consultant?

Do you think marketing is easy? It can be when you have a plan and a clear message. To develop these aspects of your business, you need an expert resource to guide you.

Professional Expertise

We've all seen homemade advertisements. You notice them right away. The space is too cluttered, too many fonts or colors are used, sometimes there's no contact information.

You've built your business around your expertise. When a marketing project is beyond your capability or capacity, it's time to rely on an expert. Hiring a consultant can let you focus on your business while she is driving your promotional efforts. The skilled professional will create a strategic plan for you as well as a calendar, so you can see how all of your advertising efforts fit together throughout the year.

Another Perspective

Looking for an objective view of your business? When you are feeling overwhelmed and out of your comfort zone, a consultant can provide another perspective. Maybe you are trying to do too much in your promotional activities, or your messaging isn't clear, or the goals for your business are changing. The marketing specialist can review your current advertising, recommend efforts that work, and eliminate the ones that don't work. By concentrating on efforts that get results, you are able to allocate your marketing funds more effectively.

Increased Efficiency

Use your time wisely. By hiring a marketing consultant, you are able to concentrate on other areas of your business. And, you can hire this person for a set amount of time, or by project. Delegating your promotional tasks allows you to focus on your business, and

accomplish more in less time.

The goal is to make you and your staff more productive, streamline your organization, and increase your profitability. And, you'll have more money to put in your piggy bank.
Networking Tip

Join Committees

When starting out in business, the goal is to be better known in the marketplace and community. The best way to accomplish this is to join committees. It may seem like it's counterintuitive and only making an impact on a small scale.

But in order to get known to a larger audience, you need to be known by involved individuals. They become familiar with your work style, your reliability, how approachable you are, plus you are seeing them on a regular basis. Once they get to know you, they are more willing to introduce you to people they know and provide referrals, thus growing your business.

So lend a helping hand to your local chamber, alumni association, school organization, or charity.
