Meeting with Virginia's Secretary of Commerce and Deputy Secretary of Education
Along with other members of the Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership, we met with Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Jim Cheng and Deputy Secretary of Education Javaid Siddiqi to discuss Governor Bob McDonnell's ALL Students Initiative on November 26, 2012. The Secretaries outlined a set of legislative initiatives aimed at making Virginia's K-12 education system more robust and focused on preparing the future workforce for the changing needs of the business world. John Marshall Bank Donates $5K to INC.spire Program
On November 28, 2012, member company John Marshall Bank, the fastest growing bank in Virginia, donated $5,000.00 to the Chamber's INC.spire Education Foundation incubator program for entrepreneurs and emerging businesses. Support Our First Responders Holiday Buffet Luncheon
The Chamber's First Responders committee works directly with the Reston District Citizens' Advisory committee to recognize and support the critical First Responders in our community through public recognition of the service provided by our dedicated Fairfax County police, sheriff, fire and rescue employees. Each December we host a First Responders Holiday Buffet Luncheon at the Reston District Police Station. If you work at a local restaurant or catering company, please consider donating a dish to this event, taking place on December 18, 2012. 30TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION A MAJOR SUCCESS

On Saturday, December 1, 2012, we celebrated our 30th Annviersary at the Reston Sheraton Hotel with over 200 guests. We would like to thank Karen Cleveland and Tracey White, 30th Anniversary Committee Co-Chairs, for the time and creativity they shared over the past year of planning the anniversary campaign.
At the event we debuted our second and third 30th Anniversary Videos, produced by Jerry Ferguson of Fairfax Public Access with voice over by Doug Corbett Voice Over, LLC.
