Transparency Task Force:
Survey Deadline is Dec. 4
The Transparency Task Force sent a survey to EICC primary representatives last week to gather information about company reporting practices, and about key member- and industry-specific material issues. The survey deadline is December 4.
Survey information will be used to develop a reporting framework for members and suppliers that can be included in new EICC governance changes. It will also help identify ways EICC should support reporting by members and suppliers. Member input is critical to ensure recommendations that result will be feasible and meaningful for members and stakeholders.

VAP Updates:
Working Hours Non-Conformance Rating, CAP timeline changes, and a new Audit/Reporting Tool
Changes have been made to the Working Hour non-conformance rating based on feedback from EICC members.
- Members reported that the working hours finding calculation was too complex. As a result, the non-conformance rating table has been modified.
- Members also reported that CAP closure expectations were unrealistic given the complexity of the issues. To address this, the Working Hours CAP timeline will now be longer than CAP timelines for other findings. Auditees now have up to 90 days to improve from one non-conformance level to the next, with a maximum time of one year to reach conformance.
- In addition, a standard template has been distributed to audit firms to improve reporting. It was developed to match the working hours section (Chapter 16) in the VAP Operations Manual. The same changes applied to AMA and CMA.
Members should expect these changes to be reflected in Validated Audit Reports (VARs).
Please take the time to review important details here. Contact the VAP Audit Program Manager for more information. |
