Transparency Task Force Update: Upcoming Member Survey

The EICC recently formed a task force to identify ways to encourage transparency across the electronic supply chain. The goal is to enhance implementation of the EICC Code of Conduct. The task force needs member input to influence potential requirements!

The task force will survey EICC members to understand company reporting practices, and to understand key member- and industry-specific material issues. The information will inform the development of a reporting framework for members and suppliers that can be part of the new EICC governance changes. It will also help identify how EICC should support reporting by members and suppliers.

The task force will send the survey to primary contacts the week of November 12. The survey will remain open until the beginning of December. Member input is critical to developing recommendations that are feasible and meaningful for members and stakeholders.

Contact Kate Cacciatore, Bruce Klafter, or Liz Abbett for more information about the task force or its work.

Special Recognition for AMA/CMA Work Group Members

Thank you to AMA/CMA Work Group members for their contributions to the development of the AMA, CMA, and VAP without APM CAP Management audit types. These have been completed and incorporated into EICC-ON--a huge effort that took seven months. Special thanks to the following volunteers who worked with LKH and the Enablon project team.

  • Sofia Kelly, HP: Sofia did a great job creating the communication materials. The audit description document and user guide were complex and took a lot of time to create. The materials were used to help trainers understand the process, and will be a huge help to new company APMs.
  • Mike McDonnell, Intel: Mike led the team as a conduit to the VAP/OMT team for requirements gathering and decisions. He articulated our objectives and participated in several weeks of user acceptance testing. He also performed some critical testing of the new Findings workflow.
  • Jennifer Williams, Foxconn: Jennifer performed complex use case testing. She helped identify and solve problems in the system, including a change needed to the VAP workflow that makes the CAP management process run more logically and smoother.
