AFFIRMATION

I look outside to remind myself of the beauty of the natural world.

REV. BRENDA SPEAKING; STEVE EPLEY PERFORMING

In our second Sunday of Advent, we will explore the story of Jesus' birth as written in the gospel of Matthew. Main characters Joseph, King Herod, and the Wise Men are all a part

of who we are today. Join us to explore this ancient story with a metaphysical lens of today. Steve Epley, a friend of Rev. brenda's from Unity Village, will sing and play his guitar for the service, including a prelude concert at 9:45. Steve has long been a part of Unity and spends all of his musical energies writing, recording and performing New Thought music. He also plays guitar with the Unity Village Chapel Music Team. He says it's pure joy!

BRING IN A STUFFED ANIMAL BY DECEMBER 15

Our project to collect new stuffed animals for children in crisis will continue until December 15. Please spread holiday blessings with your donations. We received a special request from Mercy Medical Center Pediatrics for donations of small beanie baby type toys, which are in high demand by the young tots they serve. Contact Pat Schomburg at 319-210-1518 with questions.

Also, please remember that we collect non-perishable food items for our CommUnity Cupboard all year long. Thank you all for your generosity!
