REV. BRENDA TO SPEAK THIS SUNDAY

Please join us at 10 a.m. this Sunday as Rev. brenda continues our energy of gratitude. She'll share how to practice gratitude in the face of challenges. In addition, we'll learn how the energy of gratitude is vital to our well-being; mind, body, and spirit.

DEEP DISH DIVAS PROVIDING SPECIAL MUSIC

The Deep Dish Divas Band will provide our special music Sunday. They play an eclectic mix of vintage novelties, folk, swing, traditional tunes and more--some instrumental, but most featuring their signature three-part vocal arrangements. This acoustic trio has been together since 2009 and is comprised of Deb Hunemuller on fiddle, Karen Pierce on guitar and hammered dulcimer, and Carrie Kriz on bass and flute. The band will also give a prelude performance at 9:45 before the service.

"WRITING DOWN YOUR SOUL" CLASSES

Are you ready to continue with the wonderful energy of Janet Conner's recent workshops? Didn't get a chance to hear Janet? Excited about connecting with the extraordinary voice within that she introduces in Writing Down Your Soul? Join Janith Griffith and others in the Strong Classroom Sunday mornings from 9-9:45 a.m. starting this Sunday (Nov. 10) as we work with Janet's first book and write together to theta music. Starting in January we will meet to work through her Lotus and Lily book. Books and journals are still available in Sacred Grounds and Books. Join us!

MANDALA MAGNIFICENCE CREATING CLASS STARTS MONDAY

Please join Dana Bramer as she hosts a monthly Mandala-creating class beginning Monday, November 11. It will meet the second Monday of the month in the Strong Room. "LIVING ORIGINALLY" WORKSHOP NOV. 16!

Robert Brumet, author of "Living Originally: Ten Spiritual Practices to Transform Your Life," is presenting a workshop on his approach to spiritual transformation on Saturday, November 16 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. "Living Originally" is the art of learning and using ten core spiritual practices in our daily living. Those currently studying this book at UCR and all others won't want to miss hearing this special master teacher! Besides being an author, Robert is an ordained Unity minister and teaches courses in pastoral counseling, meditation and spiritual development at Unity Institute and Seminary in Unity Village, Missouri.

You can register for the workshop by calling 319-393-5422 or using the sign-up sheet in the foyer. The suggested love offering is $25. Rev. Brumet will also be the guest speaker at our Sunday morning service on November 17. Bring a friend or two for these special opportunities.

UPCOMING QUARTERLY COMMUNITY MEETING

Please join us on November 17 from 11:30-12:30 for our quarterly commUnity meeting! This is our opportunity to come together and align as a spiritual commUnity. Even if you are not a member, this is an excellent way to learn more about current events and key information.

THANKS-4-GIVING DAY ACTIVITIES

We are truly blessed at UCR by all of the volunteers that help this village run and prosper. To pamper all of the many volunteers, we will be hosting our second annual spa day on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Some of the many offerings that day include reiki, massage, intuitive readings, and flower essences. Watch for posters and sign-up sheets as the LUL Leadership Team and Rev. brenda offer you this Thanks-4-Giving Day!
