AFFIRMATION

I believe that change can be good.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO "FALL" BACK

Just a friendly reminder to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed Saturday night. We want to see your smiling faces at the right time on Sunday morning!

REV. BRENDA INVITES YOU TO CELEBRATE GRATITUDE SUNDAY

Our first Sunday in November brings us to a time of celebrating the energy of gratitude. One of my favorite writings on the subject is found in the book "Spiritual Economics" by the great Rev Eric Butterworth. Come on in to the 10 a.m. service and learn how gratitude--a causative energy--can truly turn your life in a new and improved direction!

JESSICA MALLOW GUEST MUSICIAN SUNDAY

Our  special music Sunday will be provided by Jessica Mallow, an accomplished Mezzo-Soprano. Jessica has performed in many productions with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Cedar Rapids Opera Outreach, Simpson College, and Opera Iowa. She has also sung with Orchestra Iowa.

EXPLORE SPIRITUALITY, NATURE, AND WILDERNESS

Plan to attend "A Wilderness Icon" presentation by Clayton Daughenbaugh this Sunday from noon to 1 p.m. Clayton will address the topic of faith and the land, while promoting a national campaign to protect America's Red Rock wilderness. The program includes a multi-media slideshow documenting efforts to designate public lands in southern Utah's spectacular canyon country. For more information,  contact Clayton at claytonhd@xmission.com. Love offerings accepted.

THANKS-4-GIVING DAY FESTIVITIES

We are truly blessed at UCR by all of the volunteers that help this village thrive. To pamper all of our many volunteers, the Licensed Unity Leader team and Rev Brenda have organized our second annual spa day on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.. Some of the many modalities offered include reiki, massage, intuitive readings, nutritional biofeedback and flower essences. All modalities are by appointment only. Watch for posters and sign-up sheets in the foyer soon!

"YOUR SOUL WANTS FIVE THINGS" CLASSES

Ready to continue with the wonderful energy from Janet Conner's workshops this past weekend? Excited about connecting with the extraordinary voice within that she introduced in Writing Down Your Soul? Join Janith Griffith and others in the Strong Classroom Sunday mornings from 9-9:45 AM starting Nov. 10 as we work with Janet's first book and write together to theta music. Beginning in January, we will meet to work through her Lotus and Lily book. Books and journals are still available in Sacred Grounds and Books. Join us!
