THIS SUNDAY: GUEST SPEAKER JANET CONNER; MUSICIANS AMY & ADAMS

Our guest speaker this Sunday is well-known author Janet Conner. Her message is "The Great Paradox of Prosperity." Janet tells us, "You can have anything you want, but not by wanting it. Instead, put your undivided attention on the vibrant presence of the divine within." Join us Sunday to explore the Great Paradox. Then stay afterwards for her workshop (details below)

Our guest musicians, who will be doing a prelude concert beginning at 9:45, are Amy and Adams, who share their Amy & Adams 2012 inspiring upbeat music with folks in the Midwest and beyond. Amy & Mark Adams-Westin found each other in the Twin Cities after decades of playing in their own worlds. They've produced 5 well-received CDs that have garnered national & international airplay. Check out their music and stories at www.amyandadams.com.

WORKSHOPS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WITH AUTHOR JANET CONNER

Author Janet Conner will be presenting two workshops at UCR on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The morning workshop is titled "Writing Down Your Soul," which entails helping you activate divine connection and keep it alive and overflowing with guidance and grace. The afternoon workshop, is titled "The Lotus And The Lily." Crack the abundance code by linking the wisdom of your inner voice with the parallel teachings of Buddha and Jesus to create personal receptive conditions. The cost of these workshops is $25 in advance, $30 at the door, plus $10 for lunch. She will also present a workshop Sunday from noon to 2:30 p.m. called "Unravel the Great Paradox." The Sunday workshop has a $20 suggested love offering. Click here for more information.

MERRY NOT SCARY!

Join us after the service Sunday for a Halloween and autumn celebration in the CommUnity Room. During the service, the kids will make a dessert to share with the congregation. Then after the service, we'll have several "stations" for games, face painting, crafts, music, and more. All are invited to wear a costume and are encouraged to join in on the fun! This celebration will go until noon.

EXPLORE SPIRITUALITY, NATURE, AND WILDERNESS

Plan to attend "A Wilderness Icon" presentation by Clayton Daughenbaugh on Sunday, Nov. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. Clayton will address the topic of faith and the land, while promoting a national campaign to protect America's Red Rock wilderness. The program includes a multi-media slideshow documenting efforts to designate public lands in southern Utah's spectacular canyon country. For more information contact Clayton at claytonhd@xmission.com. Love offering accepted.
