AFFIRMATION

Through giving I live a prosperous life.

REV. BRENDA SPEAKING; LISA WISSENBERG GUEST MUSICIAN

Please join us for the 10 a.m. Sunday service with Rev. brenda.
Her talk will be about continuing to explore the many aspects of a thriving spiritual commUnity, which is made up of many diverse individuals. She'll take a look at the avenues provided by UnityCR to empower these individuals. Perhaps there are additional ways we can achieve the same spiritual intentions. So join us Sunday morning, and bring your Divine Ideas along! Special music will be provided by clarinet artist Lisa Wissenberg. In addition to performing with Trio Brava, Orchestra Iowa, and the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra, she teaches privately.

PROJECT REBUILD OPEN MEETING SUNDAY

Have some ideas about how to reconstruct the areas of the building damaged after the car crash in August? The UCR Board would love to hear from you! Join us following the service this Sunday, October 6, at 11:30 a.m. in the Strong Room to discuss reconstruction.  Please come prepared to discuss the specifics and estimated cost associated with your ideas. If you have an idea but are not able to attend the meeting, please submit it in writing to a board member and note the highlights of your proposal.  Sometimes great opportunity comes disguised as an impossible situation, and we trust that if we are to improve upon our building, the divine idea is just waiting to be expressed!

FALL LEADERSHIP RETREAT

Our core leadership circle - Rev. brenda, our Board of Trustees, and our Licensed Unity Leaders - will be holding a retreat this Friday evening and all day Saturday.  We invite you to hold us and our spiritual commUnity in prayer as we envision the now and the near future.

STILL TIME TO JOIN OUR BOOK STUDY

Our book study of "Living Originally: Ten Spiritual Practices to Transform Your Life" by Robert Brumet had a great turnout of seekers last month. Books are still available for $15 at the UnityCR Sacred Grounds Bookstore. Get your copy and join the lively discussion of Chapters 1-3 on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 6-8 p.m. We also plan to meet on the second Tuesdays in November and December. This is a book study, and a little different for UCR. For any questions feel free to contact Glady 319-362-2242 and/or Paula at 319-721-1759.

PROSPERITY CONSCIOUSNESS CLASS BEGINS NEXT WEEK

Traditionally at UnityCR, we hold a fall class that focuses on prosperity consciousness and practices. This year's class is "Keys to the Kingdom"-a 7 step program that moves us into living in the kingdom of abundance and flow.

We plan to begin the 7-week class series on Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. To register, please phone UnityCR at 319-393-5422, or email at unitycedarrapids@aol.com, or sign up in the foyer this Sunday. You MUST pre-register so that the appropriate amount of student materials will be on hand. Class materials cost $40 and include a student notebook with weekly reading material and an audio CD set. Scholarships are available to cover class material cost.
