Join us for the 10 a.m. service as Rev. brenda and Joshua Haun will lead us in celebrating prayer consciousness and sacred spaces. So all are encouraged to come to UnityCR this weekend and be a part of UCR's largest annual fund and consciousness raiser! LOUIS COLLINS DOES A PRELUDE CONCERT THIS SUNDAY
Rev. brenda will discuss the Prayer-a-Thon at the 10 a.m. Sunday service this week, and Louis Collins will provide special music. In addition Louis is going to do a Prelude
concert before service from 9:45-10 a.m. Louis is an "artistpreneur" from Cedar Rapids. He has been a pianist for 28 years and has been teaching piano for 16 years. He also has a photography business called Pure Element Photography and is a Life Coach (he is known as The Freedom Coach) where he helps people to discover the freedom to live their passions and embrace their true identity. He is married to an accomplished and talented artist, Melissa Marie Collins.
OPEN HOUSES FOR PRAYER CHAPLAIN TEAM ON SUNDAY
Please join our prayer chaplains after Sunday service over a cup of java for an interactive, enlightening conversation on congregant care and how it relates to prayer chaplaincy. We'll meet in Sacred Grounds Bookstore to discover your views on what congregant care means and share how our prayer chaplain team takes care of our spiritual commUnity. HELP! HELP! WE NEED YOUR PHYSICAL POWER
In order to improve our curb appeal, we are again asking for volunteers to help us out. Please set aside a few hours on either Saturday, July 20, from 9-noon or Sunday, July 21, from noon-2 to continue to clear volunteer trees and weeds around Lake Unity and in our "back acres." In addition, we are requesting volunteers who can remove weeds from several of our flower garden areas. Bring loppers, rakes, gloves and any helpful outdoor clean-up tools.
