"ALWAYS WONDERED" TALK THIS SUNDAY; WAYNE NEUZIL SINGING

This Sunday, Rev. brenda will preside over the great and mysterious ice cream bucket of "always wondered" questions from our congregants. Join us at 10 a.m. for a spontaneous session of the UnityCR spiritual rabbit-hole! Award-winning vocalist Wayne Neuzil will return as guest musician. Wayne is a district winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions and has starred in 34 different opera roles. A graduate of the University of Iowa, Wayne has also sung the national anthem at numerous Hawkeye events.

REV. BRENDA OUT OF THE OFFICE JULY 8

In addition to her typical "weekend" on Monday and Tuesday (July 8-9), Rev. brenda will also be out of the office on Wednesday, July 10. She'll return to UnityCR on Thursday afternoon, July 11.

PRAYER-A-THON COMING UP JULY 12-14

This year's Prayer-a-thon, UCR's fifth such event, is geared toward taking a personal spiritual leap. The theme of "Creating Sacred Spaces" serves as a reminder that it is up to us to expand the space we have for Spirit in our lives, and the space for prosperity consciousness we have for ourselves and our community. How often do we find ourselves moving through life finding ourselves in a comfortable routine - a place of familiarity -  in our prayer lives and in our budget? This 40-hour event is an opportunity like no other that allows us to push toward a greater expression of prayer consciousness, a chance to align with and live as the flow of prosperity! We have a goal of raising $10,000 to upgrade our parking lot and to contribute to our general fund. With less than two weeks until the Prayer-a-thon, we ask you to prayerfully consider how you can contribute to the success of this event. Are you willing to set aside money for our prosperity goal? Are you willing to pray alongside others in our spiritual community? Are you willing to lead or guide a meditation? We hope that you are able to come and be a part of UCR's largest annual fund and consciousness raiser!

REV. BRENDA OFFERS SIZZLING SUMMER CLASS

Be sure to sign up for the upcoming class, "Spiritual Journey, Evolving Soul." It is being offered beginning Thursday, July 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a five-week series, which promises to be highly participatory, experiential and potentially transformational. We'll explore our personal spiritual journeys, gaining self-awareness and clarity as to our particular point on the continuum. The good news is, we're right where we're supposed to be! Join the class and find out why. All classes are provided on a free-will love offering basis.

PRAYER CHAPLAIN TEAM'S OPEN HOUSE JULY 14

Please join our prayer chaplains after Sunday Service over a cup of java for an interactive, enlightening conversation on congregant care and how it relates to prayer chaplaincy. We'll meet in Sacred Grounds Bookstore to discover your views on what congregant care means and share how our prayer chaplain team takes care of our spiritual commUnity. For further information, contact chaplain leader Barb Buchanan at 364-5875.
