REV. BRENDA SPEAKING, SPIRIT CHOIR SINGING SUNDAY
 This Sunday Rev. brenda returns to the platform, fresh from the Unity World Wide Ministries Caribbean Cruise so please join us at 10 a.m., when she'll share snippets of messages from keynote speakers Peter Russell and Dr. Roger Teel. We'll begin with the question "What do we chase?" Join us for a contemplative opportunity to take a peek into your own personal spiritual quest and discover what you think you're after! The Unity Spirit Choir, directed by Nina Swanson, will be providing the special music. Brunch, with Corrine Fosnagh, will follow the service.
GROUNDS CLEAN-UP CONTINUES SUNDAY
This Sunday after brunch we are asking for volunteers to continue sprucing up the outdoors here at UCR. This is an ongoing process and we appreciate all of the help we've received so far. If you would like to contribute an hour or two, from noon-2 p.m., after Sunday's services, that would be great! We hope to have everything possible that we can do wrapped up, and make UnityCR a true place to come home to!
JOIN US FOR THE 5th ANNUAL UCR PRAYER-A-THON!
The UCR Prayer-a-thon is just a few weeks away! This event is our commUnity's largest consciousness and fund raiser, and this year's theme is "Creating Sacred Spaces." It will take place from 6 p.m. July 12 to 10 a.m. July 14. The donations received will be prioritized and portioned out in three ways:
- 12% of all donations received will be tithed to Silent Unity, the prayer powerhouse of the Unity movement
- a portion of all donations will be used to upgrade our parking lot, creating a more attractive, sacred space for those who call UCR their home and for those who visit
- the remaining donations will be contributed to the UCR general fund
We do this by PARTICIPATION! This event will hold many avenues to an experience of spirit; there will be chanting, drumming, singing, yoga, walking, reading, light work, meditation, as well as many other sacred activities that express prayer consciousness. These 40 hours of communion with spirit serve as an annual reminder that we are the ones that create sacred spaces. It is in us, by us and through us, that God IS. It is up to us to realize that.
