REV. BRENDA BEGINNING A BYRON KATIE SERIES SUNDAY

Please join us at 10 a.m. for the Sunday service when Rev. brenda will begin a series based on renowned author Byron Katie's book, "I Need Your Love, Is That True?" Our messages in this series will address our subconscious need to be loved and approved of by everyone on the planet, and how that impacts our thoughts and behaviors. Katie leads us on a path of uncovering our own divine nature, which, of course, is based in pure divine love. We'll examine our current thoughts about needing love and approval and learn how to question those thoughts. Join us for a transformational Sunday series and be sure to bring along family & friends! In addition, dates are set aside for informal discussion groups with the Rev. based on the book. Join us on Sunday, May 26 and Sunday, June 30 @ 11:30 to share in discussing your personal understanding of the material.

SHARON BOUSQUET, PHOENIX JORDAN AND ED RAINES SINGING SUNDAY

Please join us at Sunday's service to enjoy our guest trio musicians, Sharon Bousquet, Phoenix Jordan. and Ed Raines. Sharon is a performing songwriter, facilitator for the movement-based seminar "The Singing Body," a mother and a composer. She currently works as co-writer & vocalist for "All Souls on Deck," a Fairfield-based five-piece Indie-Acoustic band, and teaches and performs throughout the Midwest. Edmund Raines is a Rock & Roll Saxophonist with twenty-five years of playing shows tucked into his sax and soul. The past eight years found Ed serving the sax man role for the Jefferson County Green Band, opening for Leon Redbone, Blues Traveler, David Allan Coe, and more. There wil be a prelude performed before service also.

QUARTERLY MEETING AFTER SUNDAY SERVICE

"BREAKING THE TEN COMMANDMENTS" CLASS BEGINS MAY 2

Susan Liddell, Licensed Unity Leader, will be teaching a class starting May 2 based on Eric Butterworth's book, "Breaking the Ten Commandments." The class will thoroughly examine each of the commandments as we dig for their deeper meanings, far beyond the traditional teachings. We'll develop practical, meaningful applications of each idea for our daily lives. Each class will include discussions and a meditation time. The class will take place on Thursdays, May 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 6-8 pm. The book is in the bookstore and it is required reading. A love offering will be gratefully accepted at each class.

UCR'S LAND USE TEAM INVITES PARTICIPATION

All are welcome whether you have been on the team before or are new to it. The purpose of the team is to determine land use opportunities and explore optimal use of our grounds while respecting our Earth Care Covenant. Anyone interested may contact either Rich Moritz or Jim Greene.
