REV. BRENDA SPEAKING ON PALM SUNDAY  Please join us this Sunday, which is Palm Sunday, at 10 a.m. when Rev. brenda will continue taking us through Jesus' last week. We'll experience "Eat, Drink, and Pray" as we dive into Maundy Thursday, the Last Supper, Jesus' arrest and dealing with big-time betrayal. Be sure to be there on time for our annual Palm Sunday choir processional. It is not to be missed! WAYNE NEUZIL GUEST MUSICIAN SUNDAY
Award-winning vocalist Wayne Neuzil will return as guest musician Sunday. Wayne is a district winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions and has starred in 34 different opera roles. A graduate of the University of Iowa, Wayne has also sung the national anthem at numerous Hawkeye events.
SUSAN'S SALON IS HAPPENING THIS SUNDAY
Please join Susan Liddell, LUL, for great conversation before services, in the Sacred Grounds Bookstore. It will last from 9 -9:45 a.m. The topic this month is " What's the one piece out of the whole Easter story that really speaks to you? And why?" Everyone is welcome to drop in!
PRAYER IS CALLING YOUR NAME!
A new class called "Prayer Is Calling Your Name!" is coming up on Thursdays, April 11, 18 and 25 from 6-8 p.m. Licensed Unity Leader Barb Buchanan and Rev. brenda are offering a mini-series on the power of prayer. The class is open to all who are interested in examining, exploring and expanding the power of prayer in your personal life. Join us for dynamic discussion on personal prayer practice, really big, deep questions about prayer and illuminating insights for expanding personal prayer consciousness. MORE YOGA CLASSES BEING OFFERED
Just a reminder that Cindy Hathaway's yoga class will begin March 26th. She is certified as a Transformational Yoga Instructor, having been in personal practice for eight years. Cindy's goal is to help anyone realize that they can live without "those little aches and pains." Yoga helps increase flexibility, strength, and strong breathing. Plus, it's fun, healthy, and it works! The next 10-week sessions are on Tuesday evenings from March 26-May 28, starting at 6:30 p.m., or Thursday mornings from March 28-May 30, beginning at 10 a.m. Punch cards will be available at the beginning of the first class, with 10 punches for $70 and 6 punches for $50. She is also offering her classes on a walk-in basis for $10 each. UCR PRAYERS ARE WITH BOARD MEMBER JIM HEALY
We join together in prayers of love and comfort for our own Jim Healy, as his 91-year-old mother made her transition on Tuesday, March 19. Jim and his wife Pat have joined other family members in Nebraska to carry out plans for celebrating her life. |
