REV. BRENDA SPEAKING, LOUIS COLLINS PERFORMING
P  lease join us for this Sunday's service at 10 a.m. when Rev brenda will wrap up the Anne Lamott series "Help Thanks Wow." Her talk title is titled, "Wow, Amen!" Special music will be provided by pianist Louis Collins, who is an accomplished musician, inspirational speaker, photographer and writer. As an extra treat he has graciously agreed to perform before the service from 9:45 a.m.-10 a.m.
YOUTH MINISTRY TRAINING EVENT
This Saturday, February 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a training event that is facilitated by the Rev. Diane Venzera, CSE, LUT, Great Lakes Youth and Family Ministry Consultant. The event will focus on how to create a thriving program using a multi-aged classroom. It will take place at UCR and the fee is $40 per person, with lunch provided on a love offering basis. This training is for all members of our Youth Ministry team, ministers, board members, parents, and other adults interested in supporting the programs. LENTEN BOOK STUDY CONTINUES SUNDAY
Jan Griffith, Licensed Unity Leader, continues her Lenten book study this Sunday from 9 - 9:45 a.m. in Sacred Grounds. The book is "The Lazarus Blueprint" by Mary-Alice and Richard Jafolla and is available in Sacred Grounds and Books. The topic for this week is"Great Expectations." Using faith we look beyond "seeing is believing" and place our trust in the expectation of good. Everyone is invited to come and join in the lively discussion.
JOIN THE "MOVIN' FOR MCAULEY" WALK
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, March 9, UnityCR will have a team walking in Movin' for McAauley at Westdale Mall. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11:30. This is a fund-raiser for the Catherine McAauley Center, which provides one-on-one tutoring for adult learners, and a transitional housing program for women. CMC promotes the well-being and dignity of individuals, welcoming people of all faiths, ethnicities, and background. This opportunity is for anyone, wanting to do something good for the community.
