REV. BRENDA SPEAKING, FIVE SEASONS TRIO PERFORMING
Join us this Sunday at 10 a.m. to hear Rev. brenda ehret speak.This week she will continue to draw from Anne Lamott's book titled, "Help Thanks Wow - Three Essential Prayers." Rev. brenda will explore prayers of gratitude and how they impact our everyday life. Special music will be provided by the Five Seasons Trio, consisting of Lynne Hart on clarinet, Gail Williams on piano, and Rich Wagor on bass. As a special treat, they will perform for 15 minutes before the service. So plan on arriving early!
LENTEN BOOK STUDY CONTINUES SUNDAY
Join Jan Griffith, Licensed Unity Leader for an exciting Lenten Book Study during Feb. and March. The book is The Lazarus Blueprint by Mary-Alice and Richard Jafolla and is available in Sacred Grounds and Books. Lively discussion over coffee, tea, and pastries will take place on Sundays now through March 17 from 9 - 9:45 AM in Sacred Grounds. This week's topic is titled "Remove the Stone," and is about the stones blocking our light and keeping us in the dark night of the soul. Susan's Sunday Salon discussion group will join us this Sunday. Lenten booklets are available for everyone as a free Easter gift from UCR.
PRAYER CHAPLAIN ORIENTATION
Do you have an interest in prayer? Or perhaps you are curious about the Prayer Chaplain Program and want to know more. If so, you are invited to an Orientation/Information session this Sunday, February 17, at 11:45 a.m. in the Chapel. Join Barb Buchanan and other Prayer Chaplains to learn more. YOUTH MINISTRY TRAINING EVENT On Saturday, February 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a training event that is facilitated by the Rev. Diane Venzera, CSE, LUT, Great Lakes Youth and Family Ministry Consultant. The event will focus on how to create a thriving program using a multi-aged classroom. It will take place at UCR and the fee is $40 per person, with lunch provided on a love offering basis. This training is for all members of our Youth Ministry team, ministers, board members, parents, and other adults interested in supporting the programs. NEW LEADER FOR "INTENDERS OF THE HIGHEST GOOD"
Dayle Berggren has ended her leadership of the Intenders Group and we at UCR would like to thank her for a job well done! Taking her place will be long-time congregant Hawkwoman and we know that she will bring a positive spirit to the group. Intenders for the Highest Good, or for short, Intenders meets Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. in the Swanson Chapel.This is an activity that teaches you how to set your intention to attract what you desire easily and effortlessly. After a short meditation and expression of gratitude for our blessings, participants make their intentions for the highest good of the universe, for ourselves and for all of life. JOIN THE "MOVIN' FOR MCCAULEY" WALK
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, March 9, UnityCR will have a team walking in Movin' for McCauley at Westdale Mall. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 11:30. This is a fund-raiser for the Catherine McCauley Center, which provides one-on-one tutoring for adult learners, and a transitional housing program for women.
