"FOUR AGREEMENTS" SERIES CONTINUES SUNDAY
Please join us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. as Rev. brenda continues her exploration of Don Ruiz's book "The Four Agreements." Based on the third agreement, "Don't Make Assumptions," she will look at the importance of asking for clarification, and how making assumptions about ourselves can create inner conflicts. There will be coffee and conversation after service in the CommUnity Room.
ED EAST FEATURED MUSICIAN SUNDAY
 Our featured musician Sunday will be guitarist Ed East, who will share his unique Latin folk and world pop sound. In his compositions and arrangements you are likely to hear American jazz, Cuban, Celtic, Spanish, African pop, Anglo-Caribbean, Indian, South American and Asian influences.

"I OF THE STORM" CLASS STARTS OCT. 31
Licensed Unity Leader Susan Liddell will be offering a class based on the book "I of the Storm: Embracing Conflict, Creating Peace," by Gary Simmons. The class begins Oct. 31 and continues Nov. 8-15-29 and Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. The book will be a requirement for the class and can be purchased at Sacred Grounds and Books at UnityCR. The class will teach us how to manage the storms of conflict in our relationships, identify when we have separated from ourselves, others, and Divinity, and how to attain peace in our lives. ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TWO MEETINGS
UCR Quarterly meeting will be held Sunday Oct. 28 following the service, in the CommUnity Room. Brunch will be served. Help us celebrate the previous quarter, learn what's going on now, and look at what's coming up as we move toward our vision in these exciting final months of 2012. Also, there will be an MTL meeting on Oct 28 following the quarterly meeting and will last one and a half hours. All MTLs are expected to attend as we will be looking at 2013 visions and budgets. Fun Club will head up to Central City Saturday Nov 3 to see Unity's very own Noah Swanson perform in Grease. Nina Swanson is the music director and choregrapher. Tickets are just $5. SOUP SUPPER AND AUCTION FOR DOUG WICK ON NOVEMBER 10
The support continues for UCR member Doug Wick as he recovers from leukemia. Money raised from a soup supper and silent auction on November 10 at 5 p.m. will help the Wick family out with expenses. Admission is $10. Check the foyer following the service Sunday to buy tickets, sign up to help and see a list of items that will be auctioned off. The next organizational meeting for this benefit will be Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. in the Strong Room. |
