What will 2016 hold for us?  Have you heard the saying: "I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future?"  As Christians we have the assurance of knowing that God is always in control.  Accordingly, we should always be hopeful in our expectations of the future and steadfast in our resolve to do the work that God has assigned to us.  Trust in the Lord with all thine hearts in 2016, and He will direct our paths. (Proverbs 3:5)

Also, remember to keep our sick and shut-in members in prayer.

     HAVE I GOT A WITNESS?

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.  (Revelation 11:3)

And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. (Revelation 11:12)

I am always optimistic at the beginning of a new year.  The phrase "New Beginnings" should always be a part of a Believer's vocabulary.  Accordingly I will go out on a limb and say that 2016 will be a very good year.  That being the case, it is important for us to understand what the Lord expects of us in the meantime.  I think that we will be on safe ground if we conclude that God wants us to witness to others regarding the "Good News" of Jesus Christ.

During the "Great Tribulation" which will be the last 3 and a half years of the Tribulation, God will use two individuals that He refers to as His witnesses to share the "Gospel Message" to a dark and evil world.  The majority of the people do not want to hear the message.  Keep in mind that the Church will already be raptured at that time.  These witnesses will be given Holy Ghost power to carry out their assignment.  Near the end of the period, they will be overcome and killed by Satan.  But God uses His power to raise them from death and lift them up to Heaven in front of the people.  The people are so astounded, they become afraid and begin to praise God.

Regardless of what kind of year 2016 turns out to be, we should share the Gospel with everyone we encounter.  In the end, we are assured that God will call us with His voice from Heaven, and take us up to be with Him.  That makes it all worthwhile!
