We are in the last quarter of 2015 and 2016 is right around the corner.  I hope that your year has been productive and you are walking closer with God than ever before.  The times are challenging, but God is still gracious and merciful and you can call on Him at all times.  Finish the year with the hope of glory!  Remember His promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us. To God Be The Glory.
And always remember, pray for our sick and shut-in brothers and sisters.

 THE PILLAR AND SUPPORT OF THE TRUTH

But in case I am delayed, I write so that you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth. (1 Timothy 3:15)

  Many years ago I felt called to pastor a remarkable and wonderful church.  No one who has ever been called has felt more apprehensive about an assignment than I was.  A very prominent pastor advised me that the church is fairly resistant and I should approach my assignment knowing that God is in control. 

In the passage above, Paul has previously outlined the responsibilities of Overseers and Deacons.  He then tells Timothy how one must conduct him or herself in the church.  We should always realize that the church is the household of the living God. No other institution can claim to be "the pillar and support of the truth" in the same way that the church can.  The Truth is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All of us should take church membership seriously. We should never take our membership for granted. We should be honored and humbled to be a part of God's family. God has something for each of us to do in the church.  There are however 3 things that we must remember in rendering our service:  1)  The church is the household of the living God, 2)  We should know how to conduct ourselves, and 3) The church is the pillar and support of the truth.
