FWMBC Members and Friends,
Thank you so much for your calls, emails, cards, and attendance at homegoing celebrations for Gladys. We miss her very much but your concern has helped us in so many ways. 2nd Corinthians 5:6-8 states: "Therefore being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord..for we walk by faith not by sight..we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord." So we know that Gladys is at home with the Lord, which (along with your concerns) brings us a great deal of comfort.
KEEP PRAYING FOR OTHERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULT TRIALS!

A REASON WE WERE CREATED
...FOR YOU CREATED EVERYTHING, AND IT IS FOR YOUR PLEASURE THAT THEY EXIST AND WERE CREATED" (Revelation 4:11b)
Have you ever wondered why you were born? Do you believe that you have a purpose in life? Many of us go through life with no clue regarding our existence. One reason that we were created is stated in Revelation 4:11. This passage tells us that God created everything (including us), and that we exist and were created for God's pleasure.
If we were created for God's pleasure, how well are we doing in fulfilling that purpose? In other words, are we providing the pleasure that God expects from us. For instance, when we quarrel with one another, is God pleased? When we commit intentional sins, is God pleased? When we neglect those matters of Kingdom business that God has assigned to us, is God pleased?
The next time we begin to engage in philosophy and ponder why we exist, think about the reason given in Revelation 4:11. We were created for God's pleasure. And I cannot speak for you, but I sincerely want my life to be pleasing to God!
