The past 2 weeks have been a whirlwind for me as I have prepared our home to have medical equipment necessary to bring Gladys home.  She is doing fairly well and I again thank all of you for your prayers.  Keep praying for others who are going through trials at this time.  Prayer does work.

KNOW WHEN TO MOVE ON!

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil, but the fool rageth, and is confident.  (Proverbs 14:16)

On one of our fishing trips, the Chairman of our Deacon Board and I observed a nest of snakes in the rocks where we were fishing.  Of course we decided to move on to a different location.  We were told by one of the workers out there that the snakes helped keep the rat population down.  Neither situation seemed appealing to us.

Recently, I went fishing a little further down from that location.  As I fished off of the bank, I found myself constantly looking around for snakes.  I did not see any but I was so distracted by the thought of what I had seen before that I decided to move to a place where there were no rocks.  That move turned out well and I was able to catch quite a few fish and have my mind at peace at the same time.

In the passage above, success is acquired when we make wise decisions regarding people, places, and things.  It also infers that it is foolish to be involved in inappropriate actions which are harmful and not seek a change.  When we discern that a situation is not profitable and safe for ourselves, we should consider moving on and find situations and things that are.  Too often we stay in bad situations that cause us harm.

Are you stuck in a bad place at this time.  Seek God's wisdom, and don't hesitate to move if He feeds you with knowledge that your current circumstance is not good for you. Take it from me, you won't regret it.
