DON'T GIVE UP!

Therefore we do not give up.  Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.  (2 Corinthians 4:16)

This past week has been challenging for our family because unexpectedly Gladys had to be hospitalized  with a serious illness.  I can still hear the words of the Doctor who said to me, "she is critical!"  It is at those moments that Christians turn to the rock.  We know that God is able to handle every situation.

Thank all of you for your prayers; well wishes; and cards.  Your encouragement is indeed a blessing at times like these.  While searching the Scripture for a passage to hold on to, I gravitated to 2 Corinthians 4:16.  As we grow older, our outer person begins to perish, but in spite of that, we are never to give up.  And our inner man renews daily as we call on our Lord each morning to feed us with new mercies.   

Gladys still has some challenges, but your prayers have helped us stay strong in the Lord. She is no longer in Intensive Care but has been upgraded to Intermediate Care. We will not give up.  God is too great for us to do that.  Thank you all so very much.
