Weekly Message THERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT GOD HAS TO HANDLE!
But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, "The Lord rebuke you." (Jude 1:9)
Most Christians recognize that we have an enemy known as the devil who is relentless in attempting to steal, kill, and destroy us. Accordingly we must put on the whole armor of God and keep it on at all times. God has provided angels to help us as we deal with the problems that we face. One such angel mentioned in the Bible is Michael. It is remarkable to point out however that Michael disputed with and argued about the body of Moses after his death. After all, one would think that the devil would be through with you after you die. However the devil wanted to know where the body of Moses would be laid. It is not my intention to explain why this is so. We are not told specifically in Scripture why, although some commentators have said that the devil intended to erect a monument to Moses at the grave-sight which would entice some individuals to worship him as an idol god.
What is important to mention however is the answer that Michael gave the devil. He told the devil, "the Lord rebuke you." In essence, this was a matter for the Lord to handle.
In our lives, we certainly need to proclaim our faith and live the life that God would have us to live. We should study God's Word and we should worship Him in Spirit and in truth. But after we have done all that we can do, we need to "LET GO AND LET GOD," There have been times in my life when I had fallen short of accomplishing my goals in my own strength. But I knew that God was able to do what I could not. If you have been struggling for a long time with a problem that you needed resolved, just give it to the Lord. He will take care of you. It is amazing that the devil wants to occupy us even beyond life on this side. But fear not. He can only do what God allows him to do. Just remember, there are some things that only the Lord can handle. And when the Lord handles them, they are handled indeed.
