FWMBC Members and Friends,

School is out and summer vacations are beginning.  Be safe while enjoying your breaks.  Remember to give God some of your time.  After all, God gave you the time in the first place. FWMBC members may dress with less formality during the heat.  However, be mindful that we should not be provocative in our apparel.  Try to enjoy yourselves and don't forget to pray.  Remember, our Sick and Shut-In Members appreciate your prayers.

                           GOD SO LOVES US!
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.  (John 3:16)

John 3:16 is one of the most basic passages to Salvation that there is in the Bible.  Leading up to this passage, Nicodemus approached Jesus during the night in order to ask Him some questions.  Jesus tells him that one must believe in Him to have eternal life.  That eternal life is a gift because of the unconditional love that God has for the world.

How would one describe God's love?  Perhaps it is indescribable.  How do you describe a love that will take the worst sinner in the world and say "I Love You?"  How do you describe love that is so boundless and so great that billions of people have been saved by it?  What words can you use to describe how God would send His only begotten Son to die such a horrible death for us?  Can't we say that God's love is unquenchable.  No matter how much love God gives you, you want more, and more, and more.  You can never get enough to quench your desire for God's love.

We can also say that God's love is unattainable in our own merit.  We can never earn God's love on our own.  We can "obtain" it, but we cannot "attain" it.  It is a gift from God and He gives it as He sees fit.  God's love is inexhaustible.  It never runs out.  It just keeps on coming.  The more we receive, the more it gives.  We can never use it up.  And God's love is inevitable.  It is there for us no matter what.  God loves us so much that we know He will give it to us even though we do not deserve it.  I am glad about that fact. To sum it all up, it is just a blessing to know that: "GOD SO LOVES US!"
