ENDURANCE
But those enduring to the end shall be saved. (Matthew 24:13)
The group members of "Endurance" are great ambassadors for Christ in the ministry of song. The quartet consisting of Claude Cummings Jr., Michael Robertson, Earl Sampson, and Dave Botts travel all around the Country taking the Good News of Jesus Christ. They have received numerous awards for their efforts, but I can assure you that they really do it for the cause of Christ. They make it sound and look easy, but I know that they have had to "ENDURE" many ups and downs to get where they are today.
All Christians will have to deal with adversities in life. As we experience the difficulties of life, we should remember that we are never alone. Our Lord is always with us. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. Storms may come, and storms may go; but remember "Who" holds power over the storms. There may be storms on your job; or in your home; and even storms in the church sometimes. But Jesus can calm the storm with one statement, "peace be still." Here are some suggestions to remember why it is important to "Endure" as Christians:
1. God expects us to be strong in adversity. It shows that we trust Him.
2. For a Christian, endurance is a worthy act. It confirms our dependance on God.
3. Another word for endurance is perseverance. Perseverance glorifies Christ.
4. Endurance reflects courage. It lets Satan know that we are not fearful of his tactics.
5. When we endure until the end we will have a reward waiting for us.
Just as the quartet, Endurance, has persevered to be a blessing to others; we can also be a blessing to others through the ups and downs of life as well. Stay the course and endure until the end. As the Scripture says, those who endure until the end shall be saved. "Hallelujah!"
