As we consider all of the men and women who made tremendous sacrifices for the cause of freedom we must never forget their contributions. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan; Writer Maya Angelou; Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee; and many others are mentors for our children.
But just as Joshua prepared the children of Israel to cross the Jordan River, it is our job to prepare those who are coming behind us to carry the torch for freedom even further. In other words, Let us march on til victory is won.
May God continue to Bless You, and Keep You is my prayer.
