A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

This is the day the Lord has made;  We will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

This past Sunday many of you wished Gladys and me a "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY."  Today I want you to know that your wishes came true.  At the end of the day, as we contemplated all that had taken place, we indeed can say that you made us happy.  For us, being happy is a state of contentment.  It is peace of mind.  It is a sense of well-being.  It is the feeling that all is well.  And because God used so many of you last Sunday, we were able to experience all of the above.

Our prayers are that you can also experience the bliss of having "happy days" even if it is not your anniversary.  Each day is a gift from God.  The Psalm above says that the Lord makes days.  When you think about that fact, we should automatically rejoice.  Anything that God makes is perfect and of great value.  His days are to be enjoyed.  He gives us days to celebrate the fullness of life. 

I know that there will be days that you may not "feel" like rejoicing and being happy.  When that happens, just talk to Him and tell Him your concerns.  Before you end your conversation with Him, you will probably begin to understand how blessed you are! 

So thank all of you for your love and kindness toward Gladys and me.  We are truly happy because of what you have done.  And we are really grateful for what the Lord has done in our lives.  We rejoice with gladness for every day that the Lord has made!
