PRESCRIPTION FOR PEACE!

I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord.  (Philippians 4:2)

As we get older, pharmaceutical companies begin to get more of our money.  Our doctors give us prescriptions for pills to cover all kinds of maladies.  I wonder how life could be if we could take a pill for peace, God's peace.  As we celebrate the 4th of July, the newscasters continually remind us that there are wars going on all around us. What is God's prescription for peace?  A pill of Love would be high on the list.  Below are some other pills that would also be prescribed to achieve peace among men and women.

1.PILL OF PERSEVERANCE IN THE LORD! No matter the difficulties, persevere in the Lord. (Vs. 1)

2. PILL FOR PARITY!  Ask for peace.  (Vs. 2)

3.  PILL FOR PARTNERSHIP! Work together. (Vs. 3)

4.  PILL OF PRAISE! Praise during your trials (Vs. 4)

5.  PILL OF PUBLICATION!  Tell people about the goodness of God. (Vs. 5)

6.  PILL OF PRAYER.  Pray for peace.  (Vs. 6)

God's peace is like no other.  We can't fully understand the full extent of having His peace.  But if we desire to possess His peace, we must do what our God of Peace prescribes, and our lives will become healthier and more peaceful as a result.
