BORN TO DIE THAT WE MIGHT LIVE!
For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11)
Jesus came with a central purpose. He was to die. His death was necessary as a sacrifice for our sins. Because He died, we will have eternal life with God forever and ever.
HIS BIRTH: Jesus wrapped Himself in human flesh and manifested Himself as Baby Jesus. The circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus clearly indicated that God wanted the common person to realize that we were important in the eyes of God. Like the Shepherds, we should rush to see Jesus and accept Him into our lives.
HIS DEATH: Had Jesus not died as He did, His birth would not be significant to us 2000 years later. It was prophesied that He would go to the Cross and die. He was born to die, that we might live.
HIS RESURRECTION: When Mary and Mary Magdalene went to the tomb where Jesus had been laid, they found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. The Resurrection of Jesus has led to life-changing circumstances for all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.
We are grateful to God that Jesus was born; that He died; and that He Resurrected from the dead. Because He died, we can live forever with God!
