TRUST GOD AND DO SOMETHING!
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die?" (2Kings 7:3)
There is a story about a man who is stranded in a boat in the middle of the ocean. He prayed to God for help. A helicopter flies over and drops a rope. He doesn't take the rope because in his mind God will send another "BOAT" to pick him up. After a while, he calls out to God again asking why God has not delivered him. God tells him that He answered his prayer by sending the helicopter. If the man had only reached for the rope, he would have been saved. Sometimes, we are so overwhelmed by our problems that we fail to do anything to help resolve them.
In the passage above, the 4 lepers found themselves in desperate circumstances. They decided that doing something was better than doing nothing. By doing something, they found out that God had already started to solve their problem. Consider the following points which tell us to trust God and do something when faced with problems:
1. WHEN WE FIND OURSELVES IN DESPERATE CIRCUMSTANCES WE HAVE TO WANT TO GET BETTER.
2. WHEN WE FIND OURSELVES IN DESPERATE CIRCUMSTANCES WE NEED TO GET OVER OUR FEARS AND DO SOMETHING.
3. WHEN WE FIND OURSELVES IN DESPERATE CIRCUMSTANCE WE SHOULD TRUST GOD.
4. BE DETERMINED TO GET THE GOOD THINGS THAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR YOU.
5. AFTER GOD BLESSES YOU, GO TELL SOMEONE ELSE SO THAT YOU CAN BE A BLESSING TO THEM.
If you are presently going through some difficult circumstances, consider the above and watch
God bring you out!
