CERTAINLY I WILL BE WITH YOU!
So He said, "certainly I will be with you." (Exodus 3:12)
Most of you know the story of Moses. He was born at a time when the Pharaoh had ordered that every Hebrew son born at that time was to be killed. Moses however was saved by the Pharaoh's daughter by hiding him and bringing him up as if he were her own son. Later in life, Moses was forced to flee Egypt after killing an Egyptian Soldier. He became a shepherd and one day while tending his flock he was drawn to a burning bush. It was there that God spoke to Moses, telling him that it would be Moses who would bring the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage. However, Moses tries to convince God that he is not the right person for the job.
He knew that he and Pharaoh were not on good terms. He also told God that he had a speech problem and would not be able to articulate well. He did not know what he was to say. God answered all of his concerns with one sentence: "Certainly, I will be with you!"
Many of us are like Moses. We have decided that we are not the best persons to carry out God's instructions. We believe that there is always someone else who can do a better job. But God has something for all of us to do. And the important thing for us to remember, is that He certainly will be with us.
Has God been speaking to your heart about something and you have been putting it off? Perhaps this is a good time to take up the mantle and carry it to completion. Remember, you are not alone. God promised to be with you!
