Did you know that the Fair Oaks Chamber Committees are "open?" That means you can join a committee(s) anytime, even after planning has started on an event or other needed activity. It's also a great way enlarge your net and meet other business or associate members. Take a tiny piece or more, as time permits. Our major event committees are: Fiesta Days, Taste of Fair Oaks, Golf Tournament and Christmas in the Village. There are other opportunities as well: Ambassadors, Mixers, Sponsorships, Honorary Mayor's Race, luncheon decorations, office volunteering and more. The "Fiscal Cliff"
& Its Impact on You!
Join us! Sean Boyd, local financial guru will be the featured speaker Thursday, January 17, Noon-1:30 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Community Clubhouse, 7997 California Avenue. Entree: Roast Sirloin. Cost is $17 for members with reservations, $20 at the door without, and guests and future members.
He will be discussing "The Fiscal Cliff - Its Impact on Small Business". Sean will provide his perspective on what Washington has done or not done, and the effects on the business economy. Sean's focus is business taxation - from the inception stage of business to succession and everything in between.

- Its a New Year and a New You! - Looking for a rental? The Woman's Thursday Club of Fair Oaks is making their clubhouse available to the public for small receptions, meetings, memorial services, etc.The use of the clubhouse and grounds is available to the public as a rental subject to the terms of the rental policy. There is to be a minimum rental fee $65 for up to 4 hours of club use and must be paid in advance. Rentals in excess of four (4) hours shall pay a fee of $100 per day. A refundable security deposit of $65 is required for all rentals.The clubhouse holds a maximum of 123 persons (chair configuration) or 58 with table configuration. The full kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave oven. Renter is required to remove all of their trash. Parking is available in the front and back of the building (tandem). No hard liquor is permitted on the premises. For more information, please contact the clubhouse manager (Terry) at 965-3630.

Pete Schroeder's singing group will be meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month, January 17 from 7:00 to 9:00pm at 5201 Primrose Dr. in Fair Oaks. They will be singing and playing some folk, blues, rock and pop. Some great local musicians and singers to lead the group. Lyric sheets provided for most songs.
