HAPPY NEW YEAR
   Everyone at Radiant Hands would like to wish you and your family all the best for the New Year.

    Radiant Hands is looking forward to 2015 which just happens to be our 10th year serving North Central Florida.
 
With your help we were able to assist 76 families impacting 141 children. Examples of how you made a difference in these families include: Rent {$6,069}, Utilities{$9,312}, Zakat {$4,657}, other items such as replacing broken locks and doors from domestic violence situation and replacing a mattress that was destroyed during a violent attack on a mother.  We have had several women, with children, referred to us by the Alachua County Victim Services and the Rape Crisis Center. Other referring agencies include Partnership for Strong Families, Dept. of Health and Children Medical Service.
 
     Did you know that last year with your support we distributed $1000 in vouchers for deserving women in the community to take the General Education Diploma exam. The following is an excerpt from one of the scholarship recipients...
 
My experience with the Radiant Works Scholarship has been wonderful, last semester I was able to take and pass three of my four GED exams and I have the fourth one scheduled for January 9th I'm already enrolled in classes for the spring semester to prepare for my CPT exam, thanks for all your help and I will keep you informed of my progress.
