Dear Members & Friends,

Don't miss lunch with the A's

If you haven't purchased your tickets as yet for the Oakland A's luncheon that the Chamber is hosting with The Salvation Army of Alameda County, time is running short. The deadline for reservations is the end of day Thursday, April 11.

The luncheon will be held next Tuesday, April 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Oakland Airport, and it will be your chance to celebrate the A's, wish them well as they try to repeat as American League Western Division champions, and recognize their exceptional community efforts, which have ranked among the best in all of professional sports for many years. During the past couple of years their efforts have reached The Salvation Army, where a number of A's wives, girlfriends or fiancés have spent time with children in a homeless shelter, read books to the kids, played with them in a school yard, and even provided them with brand new backpacks.

Those outstanding women, in fact, will be recognized at Tuesday's A's luncheon. They include Brooke Sizemore, wife of A's infielder Scott Sizemore; Kaycee Sogard, wife of infielder Eric Sogard; Tina Sarnecki, fiancé of pitcher Tommy Milone; and Kate Thoene, girlfriend of A's pitcher Jarrod Parker.

Join Ken Korach, the radio voice of the A's, manager Bob Melvin, and even Stomper for some fun at our Oakland A's luncheon next Tuesday, April 16. Show the team the business and community support that they deserve!

For tickets and more information, contact Ivette Torres of our staff at itorres@oaklandchamber.com or at (510) 874-4800, ext. 319.
