WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE AN IMPACT WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REGARDING TARIFFS - WE HAVE EXTENDED THE PETITION DRIVE TO MAY 10th

April 30, 2013 - Days after the federal budget was tabled in Ottawa, BTAC launched a petition and post card campaign calling for the elimination of tariffs on the importation of bicycles in Canada. We have had significant exposure in the media and throughout the political environment regarding our displeasure at having bicycles excluded from the initial tariff elimination "pilot".

We need your assistance in securing as many petitions as possible so that we can make a significant impact of our strength and displeasure in Ottawa through the reading of the petitions in the House of Commons. Although we appreciate those who have taken the time to sign and return petitions at this point, we will require many more to make a difference and show the government the issue is worth reconsidering.

As a result, we have extended the petition campaign to mid May in the hope that you will work with us to send a very loud and clear message to the government that tariffs on bicycles is not acceptable.

We asked that you print copies of this petition at BTAC.org circulate them to customers, staff, friends and family, and ask that they sign the petitions for presentation in the House of Commons. It is a requirement only original signature are accepted. We also ask that you visit our website at BTAC.org to sign our postcard which can be done online.

We appreciate it is a very busy time of year for you and your staff and thank you in advance for your assistance.
