Trooper Down - Raymond R. Rodarte
Raymond Rodarte passed away August 1, 2013 at the age of 64. A graduate of Vaughn High School in Vaughn, New Mexico, he served in Vietnam with the 11th ACWC Blackhorse 1968 - 1970. He was also posted in Germany, Korea, and the United States for 16 years. Raymond was a Mail carrier for 13 years in Fort Worth and North Richland Hills Texas. He is survived by his wife Sue of 16 years; three children, Ramona, Raymond Jr. & Cynthia; and seven grandchildren.

This site (http://www.virtualwall.org/iStates.htm) is an amazing effort to allow people to find out details about those who died in Vietnam, or, to find out who from their state or city who may have died in Vietnam. If you open the site, you can search by name or state and city. For example, click on the link and find the city where you went to high school and look at the names.
When you do find a name, click on it, and it will give details of the death, possibly a picture, biography, and list of awards.

Reminder - Moving the Blackhorse Memorial
As most of you know, we are moving the Blackhorse Memorial from Fort Knox to Fort Benning. This move is being funded entirely by donations and we are still short of the funds necessary to make this move. With the Armor Center moving from Fort Knox to Fort Benning, the move of the memorial only makes sense. Not only will the memorial be moved, but we will also take this opportunity to improve it. If you want to contribute to this important project, please go to the Blackhorse Association website (see below). In the upper right hand section is information and details on how to contribute.

The 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment's Blackhorse Association will hold its annual Blackhorse Family reunion in Colorado Springs, CO, June 12 -15, 2014. The reunion is open to all past and present troopers who served with the Regiment, the Regimental Community, and all separate units that supported the Regiment.
