Lawyers on Ice Come and watch nearly 30 members of the NH Bar Association who have signed on to participate in the charity hockey game to benefit the NH Pro Bono Referral Program.

Tickets are $25 each, which provides entry to the NH Pro Bono Hockey Game and the Monarchs game that follows. The game will be held at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, from 4:20-5:20 p.m. The Monarchs game begins at 7 p.m.

Stumped? All were recipients of New Hampshire Bar Association awards presented at the Midyear Meeting in recent years - and the Bar Association needs your input for the 2016 recipients.

The Bar Association is looking for nominations by Dec. 19 for Distinguished Service to the Public, the Vickie Bunnell Award for Community Service (solo and small firm lawyers), and the Outstanding Service in Public Sector/Public Interest Law awards. LRS - Find the right NH lawyer The NH Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service is a free public service that provides full-fee attorney referrals and information to consumers via requests submitted at www.nhlrs.org or by calling (603) 229-0002. LRS has launched a new video to help educate the public about this important option. The NHBA encourages members to share this information and to contact Sheila Vermacy for information about becoming an LRS attorney.



NHLAPThe NH Lawyers Assistance Program is hosting an OPEN HOUSE from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, at its offices at 2� Beacon St., Concord, NH. All lawyers, judges, law students and their family members are welcome to attend. The NH LAP is funded with part of NH Bar Association membership dues and is available as a confidential resource for all members. For more information, contact Cecie Hartigan.



The US District Court for the District of New Hampshire adopted amended local rules that took effect Dec. 1. The updated rules are available on the court's website and in PDF form.



The NH Bar Center in Concord will be closed Monday, Dec. 14, for a staff event.
