How to Become a Rock Star Lawyer - The Ethical Way 120 Ethics/Professionalism Minutes Morning Session 9-11 a.m. Every lawyer wants to have a great career, but only few can transcend modest success and become a "rock-star lawyer." In this program, Stuart Teicher (the "CLE Performer") explains how you can rise to the top by following a new paradigm he calls, "Ethically Inspired Marketing," a concept based firmly in the rules of professional conduct. Since every push toward greatness has its limitations, Stuart will also educate us about the boundaries of chasing success by evaluating the ethical and professional missteps in an ethical biography of the original rock star lawyer, F. Lee Bailey.

Fluff Is for Pillows, Not Legal Writing 120 NHMCLE Minutes Afternoon Session 2-4 p.m. Distilling legal documents to their most basic elements is the key to creating an effective persuasive legal writing. It's also the best way to draft readable documents for transactions. The problem is...it's not so easy to achieve. Join the "CLE Performer" Stuart Teicher, Esq., as he teaches us how to make our legal writings clear, concise and direct. Get down and dirty with some technicalities of sentence structure, get the lowdown on Stuart's "Shortwriting" method for reducing long sentences, and get the skinny on "the only punctuation you'll ever need to know." There will also be a hands-on section where participants rewrite passages on their own and workshop the results as a group.
