NH Superior Court Chief Justice Tina Nadeau is conducting evaluations of superior court clerks and their offices. You are invited to participate in this process by completing a short, anonymous survey about each of the clerks with whom you have dealt. Please note that some clerks are responsible for more than one office.

Evaluation surveys will be accepted until Friday, Aug. 29. The results of these evaluations will not be made public. To receive surveys by mail, contact the Superior Court Center at (603) 271-2030 or lbeliveau@courts.state.nh.us.



Matt Spiegel, from MyCase, will present to the New Hampshire Bar Solo/Small Firm Discussion Group at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the NH Bar Center. MyCase is a law firm management software program. Please contact Rosemarie Atwood if you are interested in attending.

The NH Bar Association does not endorse specific product or service vendors but tries to bring relevant information and service providers to interested members.



DOVE This full-day seminar on Tuesday, Sept. 30, is hosted by the NHBA's Domestic Violence Emergency (DOVE) Project and will focus on the basics, from conveying insight into the dynamics of domestic abuse to providing effective legal advocacy for victims seeking domestic violence restraining orders.

The cost is $65 for attorneys willing to accept two restraining order cases within the next year, or current Pro Bono and DOVE volunteers. Register online.



Saxophone Salute retired Judge Kenneth McHugh and Amy Messer of the DRC, co-recipients of the Frank Rowe Kenison award; and Julian Jefferson, a Nashua-based public defender and the Kirby award recipient, at the NH Bar Foundation Annual Dinner next month.

The US District Court for the District of New Hampshire is hosting a swearing-in ceremony for Andrea Johnstone as United States Magistrate Judge to be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse, 55 Pleasant St. in Concord.
